13 Deserving organizations receive Community Grants from VetStrategy clinics

$16,500 in donations made thanks to our team members' nominations! 

During the first quarter (October through December), Community Grant nominations were submitted and awarded to 10 clinics and Support Office for their favourite charities and non-profit organizations. The Community Grants program is an easy and meaningful way for our hospitals to contribute to their communities and build team spirit.

The following clinics and organizations received grants in Q1:  

• Cataraqui Pet Hospital (Kingston, ON) – $1,500 donation to Parrot Partners Canada
• Clearspring Animal Hospital (Blumenort, MB) – $1,500 donation to Steinbach and Area Animal Rescue
• Clinique vétérinaire Bedford (Bedford, QC) – $1,500 donation to L’oasis de l’Espoir
• Clinique vétérinaire Donnacona (Donnacona, QC) – $1,500 donation to Équithérapie LibrePassion
• Clinique vétérinaire Duplessis (Québec City, QC) – $1,500 donation to Adoption chats sans abris
• East Oshawa Animal Hospital (Courtice, ON) – $1,500 donation to SafePet Ontario
• Gillies Grove Animal Hospital (Arnprior, ON) – $750 to Ferdinand and Friends Animal Rescue Network and $750 to Arnprior and District Food Bank
• Hôpital vétérinaire Lachapelle (Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC) – $1,500 donation to Clinique SPOT
• Kamloops Veterinary Clinic (Kamloops, BC) – $750 to Four Paws Food Bank and $750 to Sammy’s Forgotten Felines
• Moncton Animal Hospital (Moncton, NB) – $1,500 to Ca-r-ma Moncton
• VetStrategy Support Office (Woodbridge, ON) – $1,500 donation to Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton

“As Assistant Manager at Kamloops Veterinary Clinic, I couldn’t be prouder of the impact we’re able to make through the Community Grants program. We’re so thrilled to extend a helping hand to two incredible local organizations: Sammy’s Forgotten Felines and 4 Paws Foodbank.  

Our donation to Sammy’s Forgotten Felines isn’t just about providing financial support; it’s about acknowledging the efforts of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to care for Kamloops’ feral cat population. We hope our contribution will ease the burden on their shoulders and enable them to continue their vital work of spaying, neutering, and providing medical care to these forgotten felines. Through our partnership, we aspire to see healthier, happier communities of both humans and felines alike. 

Similarly, our support for 4 Paws Foodbank highlights our commitment to addressing the needs of our community’s pets. By ensuring that animals in need have access to nutritious food, we aim to alleviate some of the stress and hardship faced by pet owners. No pet should go hungry, and through our donation, we hope to provide essential support to those in need. 

Programs like the Community Grants initiative is not only beneficial to the recipients but also incredibly rewarding for our team. They allow us to extend our impact beyond the walls of our clinic, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfillment among our staff. Knowing that our efforts directly contribute to the well-being of both animals and humans in our community is truly inspiring and motivates us to continue finding ways to give back. ‘
