Learn how our practices will be taking action for a greener future this year

In celebration of Earth Day, held annually on April 22, we invited practices to create and share a sustainability pledge. Committing to a sustainability pledge is just one way our practices are taking steps to reduce their environmental impact, and also result in lower costs for energy use, product purchases, and more. Whether through minimizing waste or using eco-friendly products, every small action can make a big impact. These pledges highlight our collective dedication to protecting the environment and promoting a healthier environment for both our patients and people.

“At Briarwood Animal Hospital, we are committed to protecting the health of animals, people and the planet. This Earth Day, we pledge to take meaningful steps toward sustainability in our practice. We are committed to reducing our paper usage, minimizing single-use plastics and optimizing our energy usage. We can all be a part of the solution with small changes to our daily lives!”  – Selina Farkas, Practice Manager at Briarwood Animal Hospital (ON)

For every pledge submitted for Earth Day this year, we made a donation to World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Canada, the largest conservation organization in Canada. World Wildlife Fund Canada draws on scientific analysis and Indigenous guidance to expand and protect habitats, decrease the amount of carbon in the atmosphere, reduce industrial impacts and, as a result, reverse wildlife loss.

Through our Positive Pawprint strategy, we are committed to investing time and resources into driving positive change within our business, supply chain, and the wider profession. Let’s celebrate our collective efforts and inspire others to take meaningful actions for a sustainable future!

Thank you to all our participating practices.
