In celebration of International Women’s Day, our clinics participated in Claws for a Cause, a fundraising initiative benefiting local women’s charities through nail trim clinics. This year, our clinic teams nationwide raised a total of almost $4,000 in funds directed to local charities supporting women and girls. Three participating clinics won a $250 donation to their charity of choice. Congratulations to:

  • Gander Veterinary Clinic (Gander, NL)
  • Alouette Animal Hospital (Maple Ridge, BC)
  • Clinique Vétérinaire Les Jardins de Napierville (Napierville, QC).

The generosity of our clinics is inspiring, and we also want to recognize the clinics who recently fundraised in support of animals in need and SPCAs across Canada through National Cupcake Day. National Cupcake Day took place in communities across the country on February 26. Many of our clinics and hospitals participated and collectively raised over $18,000 to support their local SPCA and animals in need. We hosted a friendly contest between all registered clinics and are thrilled to reward three teams with a donation to the animal welfare charity of their choice in honour of their baking and artistry skills. Congratulations to our winning clinics, for the most creative designs:

The winning creations from left to right, top to bottom: 1st place – Walden Animal Hospital (Lively, ON), 2nd place – Animal Hospital of Cambridge (Cambridge, ON), and 3rd place – Chase River Animal Hospital (Nanaimo, BC).

Thank you and congratulations to everyone who participated and helped us make a difference in our communities. Giving back to community organizations and supporting animals in need are at the heart of community engagement within our clinics.
